Job Description:

An entry-level IT Manager is responsible for the day-to-day management of an organization's technology systems, including networks, hardware, and software. They help ensure that technology is supporting business goals efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Technical Support Management: Respond to and troubleshoot issues related to networks, systems, and devices.

  • Systems Administration: Assist with maintaining servers, databases, and networks to ensure they are secure and optimized.

  • Project Management: Manage or assist in the rollout of new systems, software, or hardware projects.

  • Budgeting and Cost Management: Monitor and maintain the IT budget, ensuring resources are used efficiently.

  • Vendor Management: Liaise with vendors for procurement, maintenance contracts, and troubleshooting.

  • Security: Monitor cybersecurity measures, ensure compliance with security protocols, and manage antivirus or other protective software.

  • Training and Development: Provide basic IT training to staff and ensure all team members are up to date with necessary technology skills.

Qualifications:

  1. Education:

    • A bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field is typically required.

  2. Skills:

    • Technical Skills: Familiarity with network management, hardware maintenance, cloud computing, and software management.

    • Project Management: Ability to manage multiple projects, organize tasks, and meet deadlines.

    • Communication: Strong communication skills to work with staff, vendors, and management.

    • Problem-Solving: Ability to troubleshoot technical issues and come up with effective solutions.

  3. Leadership: Basic leadership skills to manage a small team or provide guidance to IT support staff.
